'every person that I encounter, is my teacher'.
I am just as comfortable in a corporate boardroom or a community drug clinic as I am sitting with Aboriginal elders out in the desert.
My background.
Having grown up in regional Western Australia as the descendant of both Aborginal (Wardandi-Noongar) people, convicts and settler immigrants, my family knows all too well the history of this land and the what genuine reconciliation is – respect, value and compromise.
Whilst we now live on Ngarluma country I am still connected to the South West as Member of both the Derbarl Yerrigan Aboriginal Health Service and the South West Aboriginal Land and Sea Council.
My experience.
I have considerable experience in healthcare management, strategy development, public policy and program evaluation.
I have held executive positions within corporate, government and NFP healthcare organisations in Western Australia, Queensland and the ACT in community development, primary care, drug and alcohol, Indigenous and private health services.

Healthcare remains a key passion and I have founded a health startup company called Medvent Pty Ltd to find new and innovative ways to empower people take control of their own health care. For more information on Medvent click here
Qualifications.
I hold a Bachelor of Business, majoring in HRM, a Master of Applied Management (Health) and a Master of Business Administration. I am also Fellow of the Australasian College of Health Service Management.
Interests.
Living and working in Regional Australia is a privilege and I enjoy nothing more then camping with my family on the lands of the Banjima, Ngarluma and Yinjibarndi peoples.
